Getting Started with Supported Living
You can access our Supported Living services through Ministry of Health (MoH) or ACC.
Referral and approval for MoH funded Supported Living comes from Needs Assessment (“NASC”) agencies. Your local NASC agency can arrange an assessment to see if you are eligible for Supported Living and then refer you to Renaissance. We will take it from there.
Referral and approval for ACC funded Supported Living comes from the ACC case manager. The case manager for ACC arranges for a needs assessment to determine your eligibility for Supported Living and then refer you to Renaissance. Renaissance will start a journey towards Independent living with you.

Get in touch with your local NASC agency or the local ACC office for a needs assessment to determine eligibility for Supported Living. For most Aucklanders, Taikura Trust provides the needs assessment for MoH and the local ACC branch can be contacted if you are an ACC client. They will arrange an assessment for you and make sure you know all your options.3. Get a referral to Renaissance
If the NASC agency /ACC agrees that Supported Living is right for you, they will officially refer you to us. When we get a referral, a Coordinator will contact you promptly to arrange a meeting with you. We can usually get things up and running for you within two weeks, often sooner.
